Portraits and photo sessions in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia: professional books, profile photography, studio sessions and outdoor shoots. Almost everyone tells me the same thing in the first ten minutes: "I always look bad in photographs." It is almost never true — it is just discomfort. Nobody is used to being looked at closely. So the first part of a session is not photographing: it is talking, understanding how you move, letting your shoulders drop. **Types of session** *Professional portrait* — for your website, LinkedIn, an application or the press. Neutral background or your working environment, consistent framing, a result that represents you without looking like an ID photo. *Book and portfolio* — for actors, models, musicians and creators. Several setups and outfit changes in one session, with enough variety to answer different castings or applications. *Personal shoot* — for you, with no other reason. Or for a date that matters: a birthday, a pregnancy, a chapter you want to keep. *Family and newborn* — calm sessions at the baby's pace, usually at home, where everyone is more at ease. **Where** In studio, when we want full control of the light. Or outdoors — the Gaia viewpoints, the Ribeira, the gardens and streets of Porto offer settings no studio backdrop imitates. The choice is made with you, according to what the session needs. **What is included** Professional editing and a private online gallery in high resolution, ready to download and print. Bronze Wings (2 hours, 40 edited photographs) is enough for most portraits; Silver Wings (4 hours, 80 photographs) makes sense when there are several outfit changes or more than one person. Delivery is typically 1 to 2 weeks. **Practical** Unlike weddings, portraits can usually be arranged with 1 to 2 weeks' notice. If the weather turns on an outdoor shoot, we reschedule at no cost or move to a sheltered location — Porto has excellent settings even in the rain.
