Photo session in Porto
Porto is a natural studio. Golden light over the Douro at the end of the day, the tiles, the narrow streets of the Ribeira, the Gaia viewpoints with the whole city in front of you. If you are visiting — or if you live here and want to keep the city with you — one or two hours are enough to take home photographs worth more than any souvenir.
Who it is for
Couples on honeymoon or celebrating a date that matters. Families travelling who, for the first time in years, want a photograph with everyone in it. Solo travellers tired of selfies. Content creators and brands who need their own imagery instead of stock. And people who live in Porto and have never had decent photographs taken in their own city.
How it works
You do not need to know how to pose — it is the worry everyone brings, and the one that passes fastest. We walk, we talk, and the photographs happen along the way. We choose the route according to the time you have and what you want to see: the Ribeira and the bridges, the Gaia viewpoints looking back over the city, the historic streets, or a combination of both riverbanks.
How long, and how many photographs
Two hours (Bronze Wings) is the most chosen option for a city session and gives you 40 edited photographs — enough for one route and one side of the river. Four hours (Silver Wings) gives 80 photographs and allows crossing over to Gaia, changing outfits or adding more locations.
How you receive the photographs
In a private online gallery, in high resolution, ready to download, print and share. Professional editing is included. Delivery is typically 1 to 2 weeks — and if you are travelling and want to post something while still here, we can arrange an early selection.
Booking and bad weather
City sessions can usually be arranged with 1 to 2 weeks' notice, sometimes less — if you are here this week, ask anyway. If the weather turns, we reschedule at no cost or adapt the route: Porto in the rain has a beauty of its own and is no reason to cancel.
Languages and travel
I speak Portuguese and English. I work from Vila Nova de Gaia and cover both banks of the Douro at no extra cost. For sessions outside the Porto and Gaia area there may be a travel fee, always agreed upfront.
