In November 2021, at the Helena Sá e Costa Theater, my mission was to capture the intensity of the play Titus Andronicus. This portfolio brings together images that document the production and reveal its emotional and aesthetic power.
Photographing theater requires more than capturing scenes—it involves understanding the narrative, anticipating moments, and using light and composition to convey atmosphere. I explored angles that highlight actors and space, leveraged stage lighting to create dramatic impact, and also captured scenes backstage, where the magic takes shape.
The result is a set of photographs that pays homage to the collective effort of artists and technicians, immortalizing the emotion of one of Shakespeare's most powerful tragedies.
